Bounty Rice with Cabbage

A delicious and different way to use cabbage for the main course.
Ingredients
  1. 1/2 – 1 pound ground beef or park
  2. 1 cup chopped onion
  3. 1 cup chopped green or banana peppers
  4. 4 cups canned or fresh tomatoes
  5. 4 cups shredded cabbage
  6. 3 cups cooked rice
  7. 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  8. 1/2 teaspoon basil
  9. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  11. 1/2 cup sour cream
  12. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
  1. In a skillet combine: 1/2-1 pound ground beef or pork, 1 cup chopped onion, 1 cup chopped green or banana peppers
  2. Saute these in a skillet until meat is browned and veggies are soft. Stir in the following items: 4 cups canned or fresh tomatoes, chopped, 4 cups shredded cabbage, 3 cups cooked rice, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, 1/2 teaspoon basil, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cover and cook until cabbage is tender/crisp. Abt 10-15 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup sour cream. Sprinkle 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese on top and cover until cheese is melted.
