spring greenhouse field trips

Want to help your students learn about how things grow in a hands on environment?

Tuttles is now offering spring field trips for preschool students.

  • Designed for 3-8 year old children.
  • Observation and discussion about roots, stems, leaves, and flowers.
  • Time in the greenhouse seeing how plants are transplanted and grown.
  • Hands on planting activity with a plant to take home.
  • Snack (donuts and cider).
  • Two classes can be accommodated per time slot: spring tours are more one on one, so we are unable to accommodate several classes at one time.
  • Talk about how things grow in a hands on environment.
  • Tour lasts approximately one hour.

Please note: in the spring, outdoor activities like Tractor Town are not open.  If you wish to bring a picnic lunch, you will need to eat outside on the grass…bring blankets…as the fall eating area {the greenhouse} is full of plants in the spring.

Tuttles offers spring greenhouse field trips to provide kids a hands on opportunity to see a greenhouse first hand and learn about where things grow.

Cost is $6/child.  Adults and teachers are free for this tour {do not receive plant or snack}.  Minimum 12 students to schedule

Make reservations by calling Helen at 317-498-1009 or by visiting online reservation calendar (spring tours posted typically in late February).
