- 1 lb Asparagus
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup Vegetable or Chicken Broth
- 1 – 2 tablespoons Toasted Sesame Seeds
- Melt 1 ½ Tablespoons Butter and 1 ½ Tablespoons Brown Sugar together in large saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Cut 1 lb of asparagus in 2 inch pieces and sauté in above mixture for 2 minutes. Stir in ¼ cup of vegetable or chicken broth. Cover, and bring to boil until just tender (about 6 minutes). Remove asparagus to warm dish. Return liquid to boil and simmer uncovered until mixture is reduced by half (about five minutes). Pour over asparagus.
